CourseKata Statistics and Data Science K-12 Pricing Guide

Beginning 2024-2025 Academic Year

CourseKata content is free. However, we must charge a fee for hosting, professional development and technical support to cover a portion of our costs. We are grateful for your support!

Interactive Textbook

Price:

$24 per student, per year. Payments for an estimated number of students are due before instruction begins. Overestimates (i.e., unused accounts) can be rolled over to the next year. Underestimates will be billed at the census date, at the going per-student rate.

We offer the following volume discounts:

  1. If Buyer pre-pays for 500 or more Student Licenses they will receive a 5% discount. 

  2. If Buyer pre-pays for 1000 or more Student Licenses they will receive a 10% discount.

  3. If Buyer pre-pays for 2500 or more Student Licenses they will receive a 12.5% discount. 

  4. If Buyer pre-pays for 5000 or more Student Licenses they will receive a 15% discount.

Includes:

  • Access to the CourseKata interactive textbook selected for the class.

  • Student work saved and data delivered back to the teacher, through the LMS.

  • Access to CKHub (a JupyterHub that enables management of coding assignments).

  • The work of CourseKata’s continuous improvement team.

Membership in Professional Learning Community

Once an instructor starts to use CourseKata with students, their district or school must pay a membership fee that grants them access to PD and support. Access to CourseKata PD and support is free for anyone who has not yet taught the course.

Price:

Membership for each Year 1 teacher is $800. It includes full access to all professional development opportunities, plus administrative and tech support.

For teachers who want to use CourseKata beyond their first year, there is a lifetime membership fee of $800 per teacher. It includes access to continuing PD and support opportunities. Membership is not transferable across teachers.

  • Teacher Professional Development

    • Zoom study groups, workshops, and daily office hours

    • Specialized support for instructors teaching data science and R programming for the first time

  • Administrative Support

    • Administrator/Counselor training

    • Logistics and implementation support/resources (a-g, course approvals, dual enrollment logistics, marketing and recruitment)

  • Tech Support

    • Institutional LMS integration (currently including Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, D2L – others by request) or the Free For Teachers version of Canvas

    • Email tech support
