How to Troubleshoot Common CourseKata Errors
If you are having trouble accessing the CourseKata online textbook content, or if you have encountered an “Oops” page when trying to access the content, the best first steps to take are the following:
Ensure that you are using a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet.
Try using Chrome as your browser.
Check that Chrome is fully updated.
We do most of our testing using Chrome. Other browsers should work, but if you’re getting an error, it’s a good idea to see if things are working in Chrome.
If the error is in Chrome, temporarily try another browser like Safari or Firefox. This will help us understand if the issue is with CourseKata or with one of your browser’s settings.
Clear your browser’s cache.
Enable third-party cookies.
Log out then log back into your LMS (e.g., Canvas, Moodle, etc.).
Check that you are using the correct login (e.g., the correct email account) when you log into your LMS (some people have multiple accounts).
Check that your computer operating system is updated to its most recent version.
